Glossary

I was chatting retirement with a couple of friends when someone asked what the difference was between an IRA and a Roth. I know that financial education was lacking in our society, but I didn’t realize it was lacking that much. Either that, or I take for granted the little bit of knowledge I do have. I thought all working adults knew these things! At least, millennials who are constantly glued to the internet should know these things as they are readily available. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time I’m wrong. In any case, I thought it would be useful to put a glossary of basic financial terms together, centering mostly around personal finance and maybe some small business thrown in there. The list is a dynamic document that will constantly be updated. I couldn’t possibly have a complete list at first stab without neglecting the rest of the blog. So I will routinely update it, committing to a minimum number of words with each update.
